This early nudie-film, showing two naked women lolling around a rocky landscape, is more quaint than erotic. It's not clear what the original purpose was - it appears to be an excerpt from a longer film, and the peculiar title, in combination with the occasional mild nuzzling of the protagonists, suggests some kind of cautionary film about lesbianism. For our purposes, these gentle images of two naked women (one thin, and the other, well, Rubenesque), crossing a meadow picking flowers, climbing a bank, dozing in the sun, suggest an innocent kind of Victorian naughtiness.

An interesting curio
Although this film is stated to be from 1927, it appears to be from a much earlier time. This is understandable when you see the last frame,, which says "A Millard Production". this would be S.S. Millard--aka "Steamship"--, a notorious exploitation producer famous (or infamous) for splicing together footage from films from wildly different eras and passing the finished product off as "new", which is what he appears to have done here. the footage of these two naked beauties has a turn-of-the-century look to it, and--although there's no "hardcore" content--is probably what passed for porn back in those days.

TOO FAT
These rather portly girls definitely don't fit the strict body shapes of today, and that does make this film stand out. The ladies mostly pose on rocks, hardly erotic and mostly arty. Good on them though for being so brave and free thinking at that time. The end credit I'm presuming is just a dumb edit from some guffawing film editor wanting to have a laugh.

Trailer?
Judging by the final frame, this was meant to be a trailer for a longer film, "the most sensational film of the year." Today the film work would be considered amateurish, but at the time it was made it may have been as good as it got. It looks like a semi-legal "stag film" of its era. Three stars for curiosity value.

The first exploitation film?
This was released in 1927, but much of the nude footage is closer to the 1900s. A compilation of nude scenes and medical films edited together and presented as a cautionary tale regarding VD, white slavery, prostitution, etc. Perhaps the first "white coater" pseudo-educational film of its kind.
